Matthew Trusskey has been an investment professional for more than 16 years and an independent Registered Investment Advisor since 2000. Through his work with Trusskey Investment Advisors, he has carved a reputation for conservative investment strategies designed to preserve capital in declining markets, while participating in rising markets.

Over the years, Matt has earned extensive financial and life insurance designations, and worked with investors in a wide range of asset classes. In addition to being a Registered Investment Advisor, he has held a Series 7 & 63 Securities Brokers License, Series 24 Securities Principal License, Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser License and Texas Group 1 Life & Health Insurance License.

“To understand my approach to investing, it helps to understand, my life before I turned to investing full time,” he explains. “I worked for six years, traveling extensively to nuclear power plants to assist with turn around inspections of nuclear reactors and their cooling water component systems. That was followed by inspection work in the oil refinery industry. Risk management was paramount in everything we did.”

“When I began investing my own assets, that concept of risk management was ingrained in my approach and is a critical part of my management of client assets today. Financial markets have meltdowns as well as times of growth. A good investment approach manages that risk. It doesn’t ride the market down.”

Matt works in a home office environment in April Sound Country Club and Resort on Lake Conroe, Texas, where he lives with his wife Pam. In addition to eliminating a daily commute, his office accommodates Matt’s habit of long working hours and after-hours market analysis. “I am always available to my clients in person, by appointment, by phone and email at their convenience.”
